June Calypso Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop

Hey friends!!! Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude June blog hop featuring the NEW Calypso paper pack. This month's challenge we could either use Calypso or "beach themed"...which really they go hand in hand. I chose to use Calypso. I think this is one of my new favorites. Every color is so "ME"  If you love this paper pack as much as I do, you'll want to stock up because its only available for a limited time!

If you're joining me from the super talented Melissa's Robinson's blog, you're headed in the right direction. If you got lost, you can definitely start right here and continue the hop! But I do have a full list of all participants at the bottom of the page.

For this month's challenge I used the Calypso paper pack. I decided to keep it simple using a workshop that was created by Susan Williams, who is super talented!! Aren't these cards super cute!! I plan on including a gift card in the THANKS one for my daughter's 2nd grade teacher.

I used 2 sheets of Black 12x12 Cardstock and cut it down to a standard size A2 (4.25x5.5) card base. another thing I love about the paper pack is that it comes with Picture My Life pocket cards...LOVE IT. I used the pocket cards for easy, quick assembly on this card. I also used our pink sheet (in the paper pack) and cut it down to mat the polka dot card and used a 1.5" strip behind the HELLO card. I then cut a strip of 1.25" from White Daisy 12x12 cardstock and used our FrameworkAlphabet stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (so the ink wouldn't bleed when I colored it in) and stamped "THANKS" and colored them in with our Shin Han markers. I then dove tailed them and popped them up with 3D Foam tape for dimension. I also used the zip strips on the paper back to make 2 tabs that peek out on the top and bottom and additionally on the Hello card. I also ripped the edges so it added texture. I also used our Pixie Extra Thick Twine to add interest to the top of the card and around the HELLO card. For the final touches on the card, I added our Gold Sequins to the THANKS card and I used our Sparkles Clear Assortment on the HELLO card and I hand doodled with a Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling pen. Here's a closer look at both cards:

I have included a full supply for the cards created below. Clicking on the links above for the products will bring you right to them on my CTMH page! As always, thanks for stopping by! Next on our blog hop is the super talented Melinda Everitt. Cant wait to see what she's created this month!

Have a MAGICAL day!
Angie
